If it is your first time to Babbacombe or Torbay, or indeed you are visiting again, we are sure that we can find you something new and exciting to see or do. Within walking distance of the Anchorage there are a few attractions that are always fun and different, we have The Worlds Famous Model Village, Babbacombe Theatre and for a little history we have Bygonnes. Just a short stroll will take you up to the Babbacombe Downs with views over Lyme Bay towards the Dorset coast and beyond on a clear day, here you can have an ice cream, sample a delicious Devonshire Cream Tea or a taste a glass of real ale, or simple just sit in peace and watch the world go by, if you are really lucky you could see a dolphin or two. There are the caves at kents Cavern and the Waterslides at Splash Down (Quaywest), if you fancy a walk back in time then Cockington is the place to visit, with little shops and Horse Drawn Carts, here you can spend the day walking around the manor House and gardens. Paignton Zoo and the Living Coasts are always worth a visit and with the fishing town of Brixham just a few miles down the road this could make a great day out. Just a 40 minute drive is the famous Dartmoor National Park with wonderful walks and trails to keep you occupied for days on end, just ask at reception and we can guide you to some fantastic places.
